Buy somewhere derelict... There's a building by my parents' house that is old and derelict and has no glass in the windows - but it's gorgeous, and it's apparently an old mariner's building or something like that. It's so nicely built and looks almost like a manor house - I'd love to buy it, or something similar, and turn it into a gorgeous boutique hotel. Think rooms with Chaise Longues, four poster beds and big plush velvet armchairs...
Move to Kraków... I don't want a big house, but I want more than anything to live in Kraków and winning the lottery would allow me to up sticks and go there. It's such a gorgeous city, full of history and secrets and art - and it's where I feel at home.
Help my family out... I'd pay off my parents' mortgage, give them some money to fulfil their own dreams (a tea shop and a house in Greece, mum says) - and I'd give some to my brother and my aunty & uncle too. I'd love to see them all comfortable and happy and surrounded by things they love.
Give to charity... Claire House is a local charity, a children's hospice, and they do incredible things. It was set up many moons ago by a family friend of ours (or rather, her parents) when their daughter died. They look after terminally ill children and their families, and I personally know people who have made use of their amazing services. I'd love to give them a few million to top up their funds so they can carry on doing what they do.
Live off the interest... Honestly, I don't think I'm cut out for working life, so I'd be putting the rest in the bank and just living off the interest. I'd get tattoos, a puppy, learn to drive - and I'd be comfortable, spending my days exploring and eating good food.
These are pipe dreams, of course, but what would you do if you won the lottery?
These are all such lovely things that would be amazing to do, and you're really kind about your choices. My friend's brother spent a lot of time at Claire House before he passed away and my friend always tells people to donate the money on Christmas/Birthday cards they would've given to her to Claire House instead which I think is a wonderful idea.
ReplyDeleteI'd definitely be living of the interest - I'm not cut out for working life.

You have some great plans! I'd do the same with helping family and friends out, and instead of working paid, I'd work for a charity, because it's something I've always wanted to do. I'm sure there'd be some holidays in there too!

like you wish list and hope you will be lucky some day. I would do the same mostly but not sure about the city I'd like to have an apartment, Prague would do. I've been chasing the top jackpots for several years already playing lottery online ( Icelotto review), still I've not been close to luck out. Be lucky.
